I normally ship at «Ground» type rates. This Hickory Syrup is Homemade in my Kitchen. I give this Syrup as Gifts to friends and family and everyone loves this product. I take pride in my process and all bottles are sealed for your protection. I suggest refrigerating the Syrup after you break the seal. The process of making Hickory Syrup starts with collecting Shagbark Hickory Bark. I only collect bark that has naturally fallen from the tree; I never remove bark from a live tree. Once this bark is collected it is cleaned and then toasted in an oven. Once toasted it is boiled/simmered in water to create a tea like liquid. This tea is then filtered multiple times. Then sugar is added to create the syrup using traditional syrup making processes. I also make real maple syrup which involves much more work for the amount of syrup I can create from my Hickory Tea. I honestly feel my Hickory Syrup flavor is very similar to 100% pure maple syrup. Use this syrup on Pancakes, waffles, mixed drinks, ice cream, coffee (in place of sugar), bbq glaze, etc.
