Naturally hulless oats. Streaker oats. Naked oats. Avena nuda If you don't like oatmeal, this is different. It is REAL OATMEAL. Eat sprouted and raw or cooked. Easy to sprout: soak in water 4 hours, then rise and keep damp. Rinse after 8 hours and then after another 8 hours rinse and use. Eat raw...we like to sprinkle a little stevia, honey, or cinnamon on it. Sprouting increase vitamins, enzymes, protein, minerals, and makes it more easily digested. Also reduces the glycemic index. Cook as is or first sprout it. Add the oats to a sauce pan, then add enough water to just barely cover the oats. Bring to a boil and then simmer 15 minutes, covered. Let sit another 15 minutes, covered, to soak up additional liquids. Then eat or we make extra and just bag it and freeze it. Breakfast or use in just a few minutes when you reheat the frozen oats. Great as a snack, on salads, in soups, or as a pilaf. Grind in a vita-mix to make flour for baking. Use as a rice substitute. It has 2 1/2 times the protein of white rice. Beta glucan source. 4.4 grams per 100 grams in naturally hulless oats. Regular oats has 3.8 grams, brown rices 2.86 grams, and white rice 0.0 grams. Naturally hulless oats has less calories, but more protein, fiber, fats, minerals, and vitamins than regular oats. Lower in carbohydrates also. Must oat groats are not naturally hulless. Rather they take regular oats and grind the hull off of it. This is naturally hulless so it has all of the vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
